Midweek Lenten Worship
The season of the church year known as Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and continues until Easter Sunday (this year February 26th to April 11th). During this time, we give special attention to our Savior’s “passion,” that is, the suffering that Jesus endured and the sacrifice he made for us on the cross. We focus on the tremendous price that Jesus paid to rescue us from the consequences of our sins. Throughout Lent, Abiding Hope will hold special Wednesday evening services at 6:30pm. The theme for this year’s midweek services is “The Son of God Goes Forth to War.” Each service will take a closer look at the greatest battle ever fought and how our Savior Jesus won the victory for us all. We will enjoy a soup and sandwich supper before the Wednesday evening services a 5:30pm.
